Katie is the Broker and Owner of Corner Post Real Estate, she was raised in the world of real estate. Her mother, Caroline Cornett, has been a broker for more than 32 years, and father, Dan Cornett, is a Retired County Extension Agent of 30 years and now a Real Estate Agent. She grew up in the Canadian, TX, a town in the North East part of the Texas Pan Handel. Katie enjoyed a farm/ranch upbringing around the 4-H program and active in the community and school. She followed her education to Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in Animal Science in 1997. Katie went to work for Excel Beef a division of Cargill Foods and worked as a Sales Account Manager in Columbus, OH, then transferred to San Antonio TX in 1998 after marrying Kevin Clark.

Katie’s husband, Kevin, works for Continental in Seguin, TX, an automotive electronics manufacturer. They have lived in San Marcos and Seguin since 1998. They have two girls, ages 5 and 7, and spend most of their free time enjoying their family. They are members of St. James Catholic Church in Seguin and Katie volunteers at St. James, and Navarro Elementary Schools.

With real estate, Katie is an active member, and a Director for Seguin Board of Realtors. She participates in the weekly home tours to stay familiar with all of the real estate available and enjoys getting to know the most active Realtors in the community. She serves on the hospitality committee and the Central Texas MLS Board. Katie believes in having a family owned and operated business and emphasizes providing the best service possible. She believes in treating others how they would want to be treated and offering first class service tailored to meet each clients needs.
